22-year-old heartthrob, brilliant (in the sense of "extremely pale") programmer and all-around nice
guy Ben Spees founded Mixed Metaphor and was the driving force behind our commercial release, Derrat Sorcerum as well as our shareware game, Harry the Handsome Executive.
He's also the author of Ferazel's Wand. Despite the fact that he looks like a nut in this picture, he's actually a perfectly normal
guy. Just ignore the thing with the rubber chicken.
Dark, enigmatic Josh Rothman joined
the "team" four years ago, and works primarily on plot and design. He spearheaded plot and design for our recent release, Harry, the upcoming Ferazel's Wand, and designed and wrote this web site. He has no mouth, which is why it doesn't appear in the picture. By the way, he's really
really really really really cool. Trust me, I know.
Talented composer Eric Speier is
the man responsible for the brilliant musical scores of Harry and Derrat Sorcerum. He's been involved with Mixed Metaphor Software since 1993. Along with his peach-faced lovebird Monty (pictured here, now sadly deceased) he runs Speier Music Productions, based in Venice, CA. He has also created a CD-ROM of royalty free music tracks, titled SoundScapes and published by Remedia.
